Commercial Manager

Greys Specialist Recruitment are working on behalf of a growing, specialist organisation within a regulated service environment to recruit a Corporate Commercial Manager.

This is a hands-on commercial leadership role, combining business development, account growth, customer relationship management and team leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth across the corporate sector, developing new business opportunities, strengthening existing client relationships and supporting the continued development of a high-performing commercial team.

The Role

As Corporate Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of the corporate sales function, developing and delivering a commercial plan that supports revenue growth, profitability and excellent customer service.

You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, managing key corporate relationships, supporting account growth and ensuring sales activity is structured, measurable and aligned with business objectives.

This role would suit a commercially driven sales leader who is comfortable remaining hands-on, while also coaching, supporting and developing others.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Growth

- Develop and deliver a corporate sales plan focused on new business, account retention and revenue growth
- Generate new business through direct sales activity and strategic relationship building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate customers and key stakeholders
- Identify new market opportunities across UK and international channels
- Work closely with Marketing to maximise lead generation, campaign performance and return on investment
- Support the development and launch of new products and services
- Grow existing accounts by identifying additional value and cross-selling opportunities

Team Leadership

- Lead, support and motivate a small commercial team across business development, account management and customer support
- Coach team members to improve sales performance, activity levels and conversion rates
- Monitor pipeline performance and ensure opportunities are prioritised and progressed effectively
- Help build a high-performance, customer-focused commercial culture
- Support the wider growth of the team as the corporate sector develops

Performance & Reporting

- Implement and monitor sales KPIs, dashboards and reporting processes
- Track sales activity, pipeline movement, conversion rates and revenue performance
- Take ownership of corporate sector performance and work cross-functionally to improve profitability
- Ensure accurate use of Salesforce CRM, including lead, opportunity and sales activity recording
- Provide clear reporting and commercial insight to senior management

Customer Experience

- Ensure high standards of customer service across all corporate accounts
- Resolve customer queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Monitor service quality, call handling standards and customer satisfaction
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure a smooth customer experience
- Support prompt payment and issue resolution by liaising with Credit Control where required

Compliance

- Ensure activity is delivered in line with company policies, procedures and quality standards
- Promote a compliant, accurate and customer-focused approach across the team
- Support working practices aligned to regulated environments and quality management systems

The Candidate

We are looking for someone with a strong B2B sales or commercial leadership background, ideally gained within a scientific, healthcare, laboratory, regulated service, compliance, workplace services or similar environment.

You should be commercially sharp, confident managing relationships with senior stakeholders and comfortable balancing hands-on business development with team leadership.

You will need:

- Proven experience in a B2B commercial, sales leadership or senior business development role
- A track record of winning new business and growing existing accounts
- Experience leading, coaching or developing sales/account management teams
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify revenue opportunities
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and delivering commercial proposals
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
- Good reporting, pipeline management and sales forecasting discipline
- Experience in a regulated or quality-led environment would be advantageous

Package

- £50,000 basic salary
- Bonus of up to 30%
- OTE up to £65,000
- 26 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
- 5% company pension
- Hybrid working available after the initial office-based period

Summary
